Stewardship [Part 1]
Topic: Bring them to Him.
One of the areas we seldomly look at is the place of Children’s Stewardship. Most times, we pay so much attention to other aspects of our children’s wellbeing except their spiritual growth. We want them to excel in their careers and academics thus we get them private teachers to coach them despite the fact that they go to school. But we are yet to get them a home Bible teacher. That tells how much we value their spiritual growth.
The Bible says in Psalms 127:3 “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward”.
They belong to God; we are simply Stewards. God put them in our custody and we will account for the role we are playing in their closeness to God (2 Cor. 5:10)
When they brought children to the Lord Jesus, the disciples sent them back. But the Lord said, bring them to me for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven (Matthew 19:14)
Please, draw your children to God by modeling godly character for them to see and emulate.
In Malachi 2:15, we discover that the purpose of marriage is not just conjugal relationship but rather the production of Godly seeds that will expand God’s Kingdom on earth.
As a Steward, draw your children to God for that is what God expects from you in relation to them. This is not just about their presence in Church alone but more of them having an experiential knowledge of God through your stewardship responsibility.
Bring them to Him
God bless you
