Gone are the days where it is widely believed that all drama ministers are full time. More drama ministers are now professionals in other field of endeavours who combines their profession with ministry blessing many souls through their act on stage and screen. Gospel Film News brings to you the first list of drama ministers who ply other trades apart from Drama:
Lekan Asikhia:
Lekan Asikhia is a renowned Drama Minister, he is the president of Lord’s Ambassador Drama & Teaching Ministry (LADTEM) and two term National President of All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers (ANCEDRAM), he has produced and starred in many movies like ‘The Old Man must die,’ ‘Sense of Shame,’ ‘Converted but Not broken,’ ‘Altar of Sacrifice’ and many more, little is known by many about his career outside drama, Pastor Lekan Asikhia is a Professor of Business Administration, Marketing and Entrepreneurship, he also doubles as the Head of Department of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, Babcock University, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State.
Adeoye Omoniyi:
Dr. Adeoye Omoniyi is an prolific actor and director who has directed and featured many Christian blockbuster, he is also the brain behind the popular online TV called ‘OGONGO TV’. Apart from moviemaking, Adeoye Omoniyi is a medical doctor of repute; he is the MD of Calvary Medical Center located in the heart of Ibadan.
Feyi Adepoju:
Prof. Feyi Grace Adepoju only known to many as a seasoned gospel actress, producer and wife of ace movie director and actor, Reverend Yemi Adepoju, the president of Victory Drama Group (VDG) based in Ilorin, Kwara State but a whole lot of people do not know that she is also a career woman, Feyi Adepoju is a Professor of Ophthalmology in the University of Ilorin.
Doyin Hassan:
Dr. Doyin Hassan, a long standing actor, who has starred in movies like ‘Saworo Ide,’ ‘Captives of the Mighty,’ ‘Free but Costly,’ ‘The Forgotten Ones’ and many other movies. He is the director of El-Gibbor Resources Ministry, outside the movieworld, Doyin Hassan holds a PhD in Marketing, he was a senior lecturer and one time HOD of Marketing Department at Lagos State University before relocating abroad.
Toyosi Babalola:
Toyosi Babalola is the wife of the popular movie director, Daramola Kayode Babalola. Toyosi came into limelight when she featured in Kolade Segun-Okeowo’s movie ‘Free but Costly’. Only few know that Toyosi Babalola is also a lecturer in History and International Relations department, Redeemer’s University.
Wole Olaleye:
Wole Olaleye is no doubt a veteran actor who has featured in many movies including ANCEDRAM Western Region film project, ‘Esin Ajoji,’ the veteran actor is also a broadcaster of high repute.
Abiola Jesulowo:
Abiola Jesulowo, a former National President of All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers (ANCEDRAM) and President of Signs and Wonders Anointed Ministries Int’l (SIWOM), he is a notable actor popularly known for his stage drama prowess. Jesulowo is currently a Chief Lecturer of Mass Communication at The Ibarapa Polytechnic, Eruwa, he is the pioneer Deputy Rectora of same institution.
Imoh Emenyi:
Prof. Imoh Emenyi is a gospel actress based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom. she is a member of the Board of Trustees, All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers (ANCEDRAM), she co-cordinate The Redemption Playhouse with her husband Emenyi Abang and has produced and featured in many movies. Imoh Emenyi is currently a Professor of Literature in the Department of English, University of Uyo.
Yemi Adepoju:
Yemi Adepoju is a one time National President of All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers (ANCEDRAM) and President of Victory Drama Group based in Ilorin, Kwara State, he has featured in many movies including ‘The Barren Land,’ ‘Back to Bethel,’ ‘Ogun ti njani,’ ‘The Lion’s Den,’ among others. He works as a Chief Statistician in the National Population Commission.
Kayode Ojinnaka:
Kayode Ojinnaka is currently the National President of All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers (ANCEDRAM); he is a strong practicing legal practitioner and heads Jomo Ojinnaka Law Chambers in Owerri, Imo State.
