For sometimes now there has been a debate on whether it is good to take gospel movies to the cinema or not which has generated some heat among gospel filmmakers. A movie Director and Actor, Evang. Ayobami Adegboyega has also joined the conversation stating clearly where he belongs in the debate.

In his regular TV Show known as ‘Gospel Films Review’ yesterday May 1st, Adegboyega stated that the answer to the debate is in the Bible.

Quoting the book of Mark chapter 16 verse 15, he stressed the Bible says ‘go ye to all the world and preach the gospel’ which includes the cinema, church auditorium, market place, anywhere in the world, Gospel Film News gathered.

“If you are preaching the gospel with films, there is no limitation to where we can go but this is the clause I want to add to it, anywhere God is sending you, know that you are there or going there for the purpose of the gospel. If you go to church, you are going there for the purpose of the gospel, if you go to the market place, open space, cinema you are going there for the purpose of the gospel, you are not there to copy what people of the world do in the cinema. You are not there to showcase what they showcase in the cinema, you are going there to showcase Jesus,” he reiterated.

He further stated that Anywhere you go with the motive of preaching the Gospel is a place where you can preach the gospel.
