Foursquare Gospel Church inaugurates National Drama Ministry

The Foursquare Gospel Church, Nigeria inaugurated her National Drama Ministry yesterday, 9th of January, 2018.
Gospel Film News correspondent who was live at the inauguration reports that the inauguration which took place at the National Headquarters of the church in Lagos has representation of drama ministers who are members of Foursquare from different part of the country.

It was gathered that the pioneer president of All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers, Pastor Moses Makinde who is a member of the church had written a proposal to the church authority 9 years ago to start a national drama ministry but the proposal was considered in 2019 after much pestering. The proposal which was also brought to the inauguration was dated 26th September, 2010.
In his exhortation, the church National Secretary, Rev. Ikechukwu Ugbaja representing the General Overseer noted that the gathering is to formalize the recognition of drama ministry in the church and to formally inaugurate it, adding that though it took time but God has time for everything.

Speaking from the book of Luke chapter 4 verse 30 to 37, the National Secretary stated that the drama ministers should be serious with prayers, never take the word of God with levity and live a holy life as those three things will help them go far.
He further stressed that drama ministry is not like Nollywood but to impact lives, win souls, and prepare people for heaven, emphasizing that they are not called to entertain like Nollywood.
The clergy however warned that the drama ministry is not for worldliness or canality, saying God is looking for those who are dead to sin so that they can minister life.
Steering committee for the National Drama Ministry was equally inaugurated. The committee members include ‘Pastor Moses Makinde as the chairman, Pastor Babailo James as the secretary, while Evangelist (Mrs) Adedoyin Ireti, Dr. Adeoye Omoniyi, Pastor (Mrs) Ogunjobi Beatrice, Pastor (Mrs) Olayinka Ayodele, Bro. Adekola Damilola, and Pastor (Mrs) Agboola Mary’ are members of the committee, Gospel Film News correspondent reports.

Representing authority of the church at the inauguration include the National Secretary, Rev. Ikechukwu Ugbaja; National HR Manager, Mrs Ifetayo Adedoyin; National Director of Home Mission, Revd. Abayomi Oyinloye; and National Internal Auditor, Revd Kehinde Ayeni.
The drama ministry was prayed for and commissioned officially by authority of Foursquare Gospel Church, Nigeria.
