ANCEDRAM Kwara train members on lighting

The All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers, ANCEDRAM Kwara State Chapter fulfilled the saying “Learning is continuous” as members were taken on a training session in Lighting during her monthly power night.
Gospel Film News correspondents report that the training which was held on the 14th of June, 2019 at ECWA Chapel, Challenge, Ilorin during ANCEDRAM Kwara meeting was an eye opener for members in their area of specialization.
The theme of the meeting/training was “Light the Scene”.
The facilitator, Evang. Sesan Afolayan popularly known as “Skill” speaks extensively on how light affects both films and stage productions.
Afolayan further stressed that lighting is very essential in any production whether stage or film, adding that creativity is needed in film and stage productions as it is a strategic way of designing the scene light.
He noted that God will not come and do what we suppose to do ourselves in order to make the production come out excellently.
Afolayan who is a professional Director of Photography reiterated that whenever there is no light, it makes us look blind because people will not see what we’re acting on the stage and the picture will not come as expected. A good lighting brings out good picture.
While listing the major types of lighting position, he said there is Key light, Fill light and Back light.
“Whatever your hand finds doing, do it with the whole of your might. God will not take excuses from you if you did not do His work effectively,” he concluded.
