Africa Gospel Film Festival, Gofestival Calls For Entry Submission Ahead of 10th Edition of The Festival

AHEAD of the 10th edition of the GOSPEL FILM FESTIVAL : Go festival, the Africa GOSPEL Film Festival has announced the call for entry submissions.

In a recent statement signed by the CEO & Festival Director, Faranpojo Olaitan, and obtained by Gospel Film News, the organizers called on filmmakers to submit their genres of feature, short, animation and documentary works for consideration in nearly 30 film categories of the awards..

The Organiser also stressed that submission of films is strictly opened to films produced between a period of TWO years. “This submission is officially open to only films produced and released between 1 st of January 2020 and March 15th, 2022 (last day of submission). All entries for the 10th GOFESTIVAL will be made via Filmfreeway. The FESTIVAL will not accept any film that exceeds the 120-minute run as a feature or a short film that is longer than 10 minutes,” he said.

This event is slated to take place in the city of Ibadan between the 1st – 4th of June 2022 at Jogor Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The idea of Gofestival was borne out of the desire to discover, nurture and establish Nigerian Christian Filmmakers for the future, showcase the abundant resources that abound in the Christian Film Industry while also acknowledging the immense contribution from the pioneer Gospel Filmmakers. The festival will provide an enabling environment for interaction between drama ministers, Film Producers, Directors, Screenwriters, Television producers, Copywriters, Film schools, Media houses and International Leading Christian Filmmakers.

  • Create International exposure and bring African Christian Movie Makers under one roof to share versatility of message and ingenuity.
  • Re-engineer structures, systems and psyche that will develop the Christian Film Industry.
  • Create an avenue for the Nurturing and Promotion of African Christian Filmmakers to meet with the challenges of the 21st century filmmaker.
  • Project the rich culture of Nigeria and indeed the African Continent through the Screening of Movies during the event.
