“WISDOM IS NEEDED TO BUILD A HOUSE” By Busayo Asikhia
(Excerpt from WISDOM TO BUILD)
“Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands” – Proverb 14:1
To build is to construct, or to make a structure. It also means to raise or place on a foundation form. In a similar sense, to build may also mean to establish or produce by using appropriate means. However, the type, kind, design and style of a man’s house reflect the person’s tastes, values and beliefs which in turn are a reflection of their wisdom. I have seen many houses in my life time and it has made me to conclude with the scripture that it is wisdom that helps to build a house. Some houses are built in a rush and as such look very disorganized and unstructured, while some are well built and properly structured showing a painstaking and dutiful effort by the owner of the house.
Often times, and by popular opinion I have heard that a woman is the owner of a home and I think that is why the book of Proverbs 14:1 says every woman builds her house. The book of Titus 2:5 also admonishes older women to train the younger ones to be keepers at home. Unfortunately in the generation of today, the reverse is the case.
We now have many women that are busier than their husbands or are as busy as they are just because they want to make ends meet. Have you ever reflected on the fact that our generation is now living and doing things that are contrary to scriptures? I pray that as we read this book, the wisdom that teaches a woman to know the word of God concerning her role in the house and obey it will be given to us all in Jesus name.
In Matthew 7:24-25, when Jesus had finished telling His disciples that He will tell people who have not been doing His will on earth to depart from Him on the last day that He never knew them, He concluded His sayings on the mount with the following words:
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”

Ma We need help .I am sorry I needed to do this. Things are gradually taken a downward turn in my home. I need to talk to u privately. I have never done this before cos I believe we(my husband nd I can always sort things out with God helping us. This we have bn doing for d past twelve years. I don’t know what to do again.
