Why we inaugurate Foursquare National Drama Ministry

Recently, the Foursquare Gospel Church, Nigeria inaugurated her National Drama Ministry with special job descriptions.

At the inauguration service held at the national headquarters in Lagos, the church National Secretary representing the General Overseer, Reverend Felix Meduoye disclosed that proposal to establish a national drama team had been submitted since September, 2010 by Pastor Moses Makinde who is a renowned gospel film maker.

The proposal for National Drama Ministry which had been followed up since the past nine year was later approved.

At the inauguration, it was disclosed that the National Leadership of Foursquare wants to give the drama ministry her rightful place of priority and deserved attention, adding that seasoned stakeholders in drama ministry have been carefully selected to form a National Drama Ministry.

It was disclosed that among other things, the drama ministry is expected to bequeath to Foursquare Gospel Church, Nigeria a befitting National Drama Troupe which will correctly present the gospel of Christ to the world through drama.

The National Drama Ministry is also saddled with the following functions as Terms of reference:

To reflect what we believe in presenting the gospel through drama.
To prayerfully brainstorm and come up with a befitting National Drama Ministry policy for the organization.
To explore and harness budding drama talents and potentials that abound in our organization.
To evolve a comprehensive training curriculum that would serve all categories of drama ministry.
To specify and regulate appropriate clothing to be used during drama presentation.
To promote and regulate best standards in Foursquare Drama Ministry.
To present to the National Leadership a clear proposal for funding drama ministry in Foursquare.
To put in place an appropriate welfare support system that would promote the effectiveness of the Drama Ministry.
To take full responsibility of enforcing discipline and decorous behavior in every aspect of drama ministry.
To carry out other necessary activities relevant to giving the drama ministry its rightful place in the organization.

The leadership of the church hereby instructs that drama ministry is expected to replicate in all disctricts of Foursquare Gospel Church across thrity-six state of the country.

A National steering committee was also inaugurated which include Pastor Moses Makinde as the National Coordinator, Pastor Babailo James Olusoji as the secretary and Evangelist (Mrs) Adedoyin Ireti Omolola, Dr. Adeoye Omoniyi, Pastor (Mrs) Ogunjobi Beatrice, Pastor (Mrs) Olayinka Ayodele, Bro. Adekola Damilola Adebayo, Pastor (Mrs) Agboola Mary Morayo as members of the committee.
