Fasola noted that Ben Ope Johnson’s post is very ridiculous and he has no results for films he has made so far.

In an earlier post on Monday, Ben Ope Johnson noted that he has observed that If he create whatsapp filmmaking group they won’t join, if he organize free filmmaking training they won’t come, saying this action has deprived and still depriving many a good opportunity to learn from him and other resource persons.

“I was like wetin dey happen sef??

“They won’t come because, they feel Bejay will teach them secular idea”, some said.

“Are you kidding me?

“Okay now oro ti doju e bayi.

“Let me remind us.

“We, drama ministers, gospel Filmmakers didn’t use professional Make-up artist, cameras and sound recorders until year 2000. We started when Grace Adinku(make-up artist), Sunday Ogunyemi(DOP) Bode Odeyemi(sound recordist) all secular crew came to shoot the gods are dead, a Mount zion film. God bless our Daddy, Evangelist Bamiloye for creating that opportunity for us, the crew to learn under those professionals.

“Can we say those crew influenced us negatively with their idea? No

“I directed a movie last year. The “star”actor in the film was a serial rapist and a pretender, who showered his wife with fake love( you know that kind of love now)

“In the first scene with his wife. He returned from a journey. His wife came to welcome him with a hug. Surprisingly, he hugged her using his shoulder. I told him, bros, hug her now. He said, I won’t hug her sir. “Well it’s either you hug her or not. I won’t accept such hug on my set” I interjected. He didn’t allow me finish what I was about to explain to him.

“He left my set angrily. Later two of my crew went outside to beg him. I just stood there wondering.

“Throughout his scenes, I swallowed my directorial ego. I made sure he did not touch his wife. Despite some emotional scenes that would have added beauty to his scenes, I didn’t allow a single touch since that was what he wanted.

“The following day, a newlywed came to see the film producer. You won’t believe what I saw. This same guy ran to the woman and hugged chest to chest tightly for some time. He didn’t allow her move until someone said, “bros kilode now? This woman is married oooo.”

“He said,” she is my friend before she married now.” Everyone present laughed cheaply (you should know that kind laugh) in their minds I’m sure they are saying xygvbjjj.

“When Moses married an Ethiopian woman, his siblings(Aron and Mariam) were angry not knowing God was moving in a new dimension that established a futuristic relationship with Ethiopians that later manifested in the book of Act(the story of Ethiopian eunuch salvation through Philip the apostle.

“Brethren, there is no secular idea in my cinematography, lighting, editing, sound recording classes. Whenever there are opportunities to learn and unlearn, please, let’s learn from one another, do not deprive yourself and others from growing.

“I know many boundaries we must never cross while acting certain roles. I know all these. I shot the Johnsons, a drama series on DSTV. There are boundaries we don’t cross because it’s a family show. On the Johnsons, actors can’t kiss, they must never wear revealing dresses and no obscene scenes. If we can do that with secular drama series how much more of gospel films that preach Christ.

“I love all my brethren, we are one in Christ; fulfilling the same mandate of winning souls for Christ through films and television productions.

“God bless we drama ministers, amen. I still love you, keep loving excellence,” he said.

In his reaction, Oluwatomisin Akintayo Fasola stated that: “This is very ridiculous I must say (after this comment I’m sure you will block me sir, it’s in your record)

“The same thing that happened to Goliath from Gath is happening again in 2022!! Sir you have been writing various things about Drama Ministry, ehn we are not professional we are not good we are not that, thank you, we appreciate your concern, but let me point your attention to some things I know, the little time I spent with you on set, you didn’t you professional camera on set! Your sound wasn’t ok, continuity was a big issue and your directing wasn’t really ok, cause the story line at the end of the day, made no sense, there was no message, terrible picture quality and lot of errors so what do you want us to come and learn in your free training ooo tell me us, how to be exposing our body on set or how to make it real and mislead people watching it!! With our little un professionalism and uneducated minds but spirit filled minds, we have Movies that have over a million views on YouTube! Souls which we are after are saved! So what’s the point when your professionalism can’t get the result!
We don’t have the sword of Goliath Yes! The the stone we have have brought your Goliath Down,” Gospel Film News gathered.

  1. Mmmmmm, I will say OMODE lohun se ,omode to bere tounwo idi agba ni bope boya omoleyin ase ru e fun
But Candid advise for him (Oluwatomisin akintayo) to apologise for saying those rediculouse words to an elder on social media .b,Cox if it’s doesn’t affect him now it’s affect him later.

  2. It seems this response is hinged on a misunderstanding of the original post or the intent of the original writer – Beejay.
Perhaps, it was borne out of obvious grievances locked up in the mind for a long time.
Maybe, it is a byproduct of personal experience with the writer.
    Whichever way, let love rain

  3. Let’s mind what we say as Christians whenever we are expressing our feelings. Words, whether spoken or written are irreversible. God bless us.

  4. The response is very rude. Beejay is Ọgá at the top and giving opinions based on his experience which to me he’s right in his position ON that particular view. He didn’t attack anyone but showing his concern.
But the Tominsin guy just went ballistic and smash the face straight. That to me is rude irrespective of Beejay’s shortcoming.
    He needs to apologize.

  5. Sincerely, the Akintayo guy needs to be called to order. God is a God of order! You don’t correct an elder, not even in public and in Unchristian manner. What has BJ said to warrant those unwarranted insults.

Also, Gospel Film News should also learn to sift their news. We must not be seen for running Christian Drama sector like the Nollywood industry. Not all comments are news worthy materials.
