Secular Actor, Adebola Timmy makes U-turn from secular movies, vows to feature only in gospel movies

A secular Actor known as Adebola Timmy has made a u-turn from acting in secular movies to gospel movies where he started from.

This he made known via his verified Social Media handle yesterday.

Gospel Film News gathered that while sharing his story, he noted that growing up as a kid, he had the ambition to be an amazing and great actor which made him started as a gospel actor under ANCEDRAM pioneer president, Pastor Moses Makinde after his secondary school but Timmy wanted to be in the secular industry. He detested being a gospel actor because he felt the secular world will give him all he want, his parents never supported his decision but they had no choice when they saw he was hell bent on following his will. 

 

Timmy graduated from Ajayi Crowther University and was a very active member of the chapel Drama Unit back then. While serving at Ilesa, he was the Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship, NCCF zonal drama cord ilesa-west. Meanwhile, he do make jest of the NCCF members whenever they come around when he was in school not knowing he was going to end up being a part of the family one day. 

 

This promising actor had his link to the secular industry waiting, he just needed to finish his service. Timmy ventured into little secular jobs in ilesa but none was successful. It was during one of the set he met The younger brother of Dr. Obembe Oluwaseyi ; the producer of final contest. Obembe casted Timmy as Bro. Marcus despite not knowing if he could play the role. Obembe took the risk because he has never seen Timmy act before.

 

During the shoot ,Timmy Adebola met some key Gospel actors. Some tried pacifying him to be a part of the Gospel world but he had his mind made up. Dr. seyi tried to talk him into It but he turned deaf ears.

 

He began his journey into the secular world, and was opportuned to act with lots of great Nollywood actors feeling he was fufiling purpose. He had a revelation one night which he shared with his parents and they made him understand God was telling him he belongs to the gospel world but he never obeyed.

 

Final contest movie was released and Timmy had people sending him DMs, asking him to do more of Christian movie and all. Someone chatted him up from Sierra leone after seeing the movie. She delivered a similar message from God but Timmy wouldn’t obey still.

 

God gave him the opportunity to act with some key gospel actors, he was getting the love from some Gospel movie viewers and actors but he was still driven by his passion and wouldn’t get convinced.

 

The actor was casted as Corper Victor in the popular online series Ayetoro Town. That made him feel God was at his back, felling he was fufiling God’s purpose, afterall, he was yet to take any romantic and immoral role. Timmy tried producing his movie not more than once but never succeeded.

 

“All through my journey in the secular world. I wasn’t really having this inner satisfaction and peace, I was only enjoying the temporary excitement,” he exclaimed.

 

He continued: “Just two weeks ago, I had a personal encounter with God in my dream. I woke up feeling so different. This was on a different level. I needed not to be convinced anymore. I felt it right away. I have been selfish all along. I was not fufiling my purpose, I was not following His will for my life. Right away, I gave my life to Christ genuinely and opted out of the secular world. Opting out wasn’t easy, leaving all my personal ambitions, the career I have been building for four years but I found the peace I never had all this while.

 

” I AM NOW A FULL GOSPEL ACTOR. I AM GLAD TO BE BACK TO WHERE I STARTED MY JOURNEY! GOD GAVE ME A SECOND CHANCE BUT WILL YOU HAVE THAT SECOND CHANCE TO CORRECT YOUR WRONGS? HAVE YOU DISCOVERED GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE? HAS GOD BEEN CALLING YOU BUT YOU ARE REFUSING HIM? YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE A SECOND CHANCE. OBEY GOD TODAY. DON’T WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING. IF IT IS FROM GOD HE WILL SURELY MAKE A WAY FOR YOU. NOTHING IS AS SWEET AS FOLLOWING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE! THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOUR MANIFESTATION!”
