“Okay, so there is more”. Ann said with a whisper tone.

“My husband married the third wife”.

“Who?” Amaa asked with a curious expression.

“I will give a nod if anyone gives the right answer”.

Ann raised her hand and answered immediately.’ “Her cousin”.

“Another friend”. Damilola said with her characteristic smile.

“A neighbor.” Terry replied with a hopeful look in her eyes.

“His employee”. Isabella smiled as she gave her own answer.

“It must be a total stranger then”. Nalla with a hopeful look said.

“Well ladies, let me help all of you, it was her secretary “. Andrea emphasised the last word as she gazed slowly away, turning to the window while expecting their reactions.

“Jesus! your husband didn’t hunt faraway”. Terry screamed as she walked towards her kitchen.

Damilola froze, unsure of what to say.

Sakiya stared into space for a split of second, unable to close her wide-open mouth.

“Really?” Ann said with an emotionless tone.

Nalla shook her head and covered her face with her left palm.

“This is a shocking tale, quite unexpected”. Amaa said.

“I heard she was shocked to the marrow, she wasn’t even aware until the lady delivered a set of twin”.

“How? she must have seen she was pregnant “. Ann asked with a serious look on her face.

“Yes, but she didn’t know Dennis was responsible. She only knew on the baby naming ceremony day, I heard she collapsed, was rushed to the hospital and like a dam that had exploded,l learnt she eventually sobbed until her body trembled “.

“Collapse? But you didn’t collapse, you managed the situation. The case of what goes around comes around. Did she leave the house too?” Terry asked in desperation.

“No need of that, my husband had already gotten the lady an apartment in one of his estates. Maybe he learnt from my own case”.

“Be careful when you sow a seed”. Carol said and snapped her fingers.

“Honestly, the harvest might not be palatable” Ann replied, her voice void of any emotion.

“You know what ladies? That her secretary is a master strategist and chronic betrayer”.

“How?” Sakiya asked, wide-eyed.

“She visited me three weeks later and wanted to be my friend. She first told me different tales and stories about my friend including all the lies she had fed her with. I just nodded my head intermittently and allowed her to finish before I made it clear that I wasn’t interested in being her friend”.

“You should have agreed” Isabella said.

“To be a friend of someone who betrayed and stabbed her boss at the back? While looking at her face that day, she had on her the pleasure of revenge , please ladies, I don’t want to be involved in that kind of a mess, I need my energy for productive means. Andrea heaved a deep sigh.

“Carrying a three week baby about just to betray someone” Nalla asked, her tone filled with disgust.

“No, she actually told me she wanted to come and greet me as the eldest wife”.

“That means you have had interaction with her previously “ Carol asked with a curious tone.
