Rhema International Film Festival Sets To Hold Soon, Calls For Gospel Film Entry Across the World

Rhema International Film Festival will be held soon. Rhema International Film Festival, organized by RhemaPlanters, will be held soon.

The information available to Gospel Film News says that the film festival will hold on Friday, July 21st, 2023, at Anglican Church of Pentecost, Stafford, Texas, and will be streaming live on RhemaPlanters Facebook and YouTube platforms by 6:00pm Central Standard Time.

In an interview with Gospel Film News, the Visioner, Revd Canon Folusho Kolawole, disclosed that the film festival started in 2017 and is organized to promote quality, godly content globally.

He added that it is also to encourage filmmakers by giving financial rewards to winners, helping them advance the course of their film productions, and also use the platform of the film festival to source for, showcase, train, and encourage talents (Actors and Filmmakers) and related Christian film-making topics are discussed during the festival by panelists.

He further revealed that Rhema Film Festival accepts only Christian short films, adding that unlike other film festivals, which run for days, Rhema Film Festival runs for a few hours by playing only selected movies, whereby onsite and online audience will vote for the first category of the winners while the judges determine the winners in the judges’ award category.

To submit your films for entry, Reverend Folusho noted that any filmmakers who intend to submit their movies should submit a film within 15-20 minutes to http://www.filmfreeway.com/rhemafilmfestival2023. And those who might need help submitting through Filmfreeway could email their works to rhemaplanters@gmail.com. Submission ends by July 15th, 2023, while filmmakers will be notified on July 17th, 2023.

According to him, filmmakers must meet the following criteria to qualify for Rhema International Film Festival.
1. The short films must be godly.
2. Mostly founded on God’s word.
3. Must not contain nudity, profanities, excess, or excessive violence.
4. Must be at most 20 minutes; around 15 minutes in length is encouraged.
5. Filmmakers must be ready to give the copyright or consent to RhemaPlanters Media Inc to use the submitted contents for necessary but lawful purposes needed to fulfill the mission of Rhema Planters Media Inc., the organizer of Rhema Film Festival, including but not limited to showing the films online.
