Award-winning Cinematographer, Evangelist Kunle Adepoju has openly cautioned that not All Christian Films are healthy.

He stated this In a Release he personally signed on his Facebook page on Friday.

He added that not all christian films are good for all and sundry, saying he mentioned it in one of his Filmmaking tips, and until filmmakers classify our contents, they will still be unhealthy for some people to watch, Gospel Film News gathered.

Adepoju opined that, that one is a Christian film doesn’t make it suitable for children to watch, and that this one also is a Christian film doesn’t make it suitable for unmarried, orr how will someone play a crime, hooliganism, rituals, massacre and bloody scenes in a Christian movie or play a love betrayal story or sexual abuse that will not pass a message into the brain of the kids.

He continued: “I have seen christian movies trying to preach against homosexuality and lesbianism, of course you know how this can be dangerous for teens who never had this exposure just because they are highly inquisitive to experiment things.”

The Cinematographer advised that filmmakers Whether helped by the government or not, should endeavour to create a good awareness for the class of their movie, create a corner of their movie jacket design to tell audience of who is legible to watch it, If possible gospel filmmakers should separate the children from teenagers and teenagers from youths and youths from adults in church congregation, saying this should also be the practice for christian films.

“There is nothing bad in having gospel film genre. If there are seminars meant for couples only, there can also be films for couples only. Any mistake of making everybody see such movie will be an abuse. This act of classifying your movie will not stop it from reaching the right souls. When a good drug is used by wrong patient, the patient is at the risk of death,” he stressed.

He further caution the audience not to conclude that since it is a Christian film or say it is a movie produced by a particular gospel film ministry whom people know to be a good gospel content producer, then audience can leave their children to watch while they are busy, appealing parents to proof the content, understand the message, know it is healthy for them and by so doing, Christian filmmakers will not administer the right medicine to the wrong patient through their films.
