The producer of online movie series, Husband and Wife Series and President of Prodram International, Evang. Ayobami Adegboyega has cautioned gospel film makers who neglects daily morning devotions during film shoot.

This is contained in a Statement signed by the producer and obtained by Gospel Film News on Friday.

Adegboyega disclosed that benefits of morning devotion on Christian film location is numerous and have greater impact on the movie.

He added that one of the secrets he learnt while growing as a young drama minister was never to outsmart God, saying when Christian film makers gather at film locations with the aim of making movies, they labour to contribute their quota as ministers of the gospel through drama and movies.

Gathering each day of film location without spending quality time together as God’s children during morning devotion, according to him is mere working for God without walking with him.

The Prodram International president stated that he has personally called the attention of few producers/directors he had worked with, who at one time or the other neglected morning devotion due to unnecessary rush to meet up with daily schedule of the error in not putting God first in “God’s assignment”.

“Fellow labourers in Gospel film ministry, quality devotion during our film shoots is a major component of a successful film that will have kingdom impacts. Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching, he stressed.

He revealed in the Statement that he has seen God encourage, rebuke, strengthened and restore his children; cast and crew alike during exhortation on film location and it is because every preacher needs to be preached to; every encourager needs encouragement.

He concluded that: “Most times, the achievements you rush to get doesn’t count at the long run. It is the blessings of God upon the project that makes the difference. Furthermore, morning devotion on Christian film locations, sets the tone for the Holy Spirit to freely have his way. Brethren are frequently reminded on how sacred and holy our locations should be, warning against any lust inducing habits that can corrupt the brethren. I usually feel fulfilled when brethren narrate how they have been spiritually rejuvenated because they attended our film location. I hope this will encourage someone.
God bless you.”
