Mount Zion Members Bagged PhD, Ordained Pastor; Double Honour Well Deserved

“No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave,” says Calvin Coolidge. Indeed, members of Mount Zion Faith Ministries through their proven dedication to God’s kingdom advancement and impacting lives over the year have received numerous honours, including the recent one.

It was an honour well deserved as two (2) members of the Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Evangelists Ebenezer Bayo Abraham and Mathew Bamidele bagged Doctoral Degree and ordained pastor respectively.

These men have laboured so much in the kingdom, sacrificed alot and even lived a rugged faith life.

On the 24th of July, 2022 Evangelist Bayo Abraham who’s a foundation member of Mount Zion Faith Ministries and former Registrar of Mount Zion Institute of Christian Drama was awarded honourary Doctor of Practical Ministry, Divinity ( honoris causa) by Real Life Christian College and Seminary in affiliation with Bible University, Canada and Brainae University, USA. This is as a result of the careful observation and research into the impact made by him in the society. Abraham has raised several drama evangelists through his literatures, and teachings at the Mount Zion Institute and different gatherings around the world.

In an exclusive interview with Gospel Film News, Abraham Bayo disclosed that Real Life college and Seminary has been following his ministerial activities and exploits for a while and the management contacted him to work on the thesis titled “THE ROLE OF CHRISTIAN DRAMA AS A SPIRITUAL TOOL IN PRACTICAL MINISTRY,” which he did a thorough research on and defended it accordingly.

He further disclosed that the award has taught and encouraged him to do more the research and subsequent presentation opened his eyes to various advantages and opportunities over other means of evangelism and the reason the Lord reserved it till this endtime, adding that this endtime, people developed itching ears, but not itching eyes, they want to see.

Ebenezer Bayo Abraham is extremely glad that the rejected stone (drama ministers) has now become corner Stone indeed.

He therefore stated that: “If you are called into drama evangelism, stay in your calling. You can strike gold in it. There is no extent the Lord cannot take you to. All you and I need is patience and consistency.”

Ebenezer Bayo Abraham joined The Mount Zion Faith Ministries International, Ibadan, Nigeria, in 1987 till date. He has been on full time since 1989 to date. He served as the Registrar of Mount Zion Institute of Christian Drama, Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. (1991-2020), the Director of Basic Studies, Mount Zion Institute of Christian Drama, Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria (2021 to date). He has acted in over 70 Christian movies, Written and produced 6 movies, Written 65 Christian books, His daily devotional gets to over 12,000 contacts every day. He is happily married to Evang. Esther Joke Abraham. They both have children and grandchildren to God’s glory.

In an exclusive interview with Gospel Film News, Evangelist (now pastor) Mathew Bamidele disclosed that his ordination at The Redeemed Christian Church of God didn’t confer him as a full time pastor, but still a part time Pastor.

Mathew Bamidele has been a Parish Pastor as a brother since 2007, after 10 years he became a Deacon, after 4 years, he moved to Assistant Pastor, now fully ordained pastor after another 5 years.

When asked if the ordination as a full pastor will not affect his ministerial work as a Drama Minister and Filmmaker, Bamidele noted that he has been a Full Time Drama Minister since 1992 serving so, pastoral work cannot the work of the Ministry. He added that the pastoral ordination is not an offer but a mandate given to him by God which he has been combining it with the Ministry work since 2007.

“Calling of God is without repentance. When God calls, He will support. It is not a new thing, we all know that we are at the end time. The Bible says Look unto Jesus the Author and finisher of our faith,” he concluded.
