You have been in marriage for the past 25 years, can you tell us how you met your wife and what gave you the conviction she will be your helpmeet?

We met in the adult church choir of First Baptist Church ,Apate, Osun State Nigeria, in 1985. We have been in the choir together since 1985 when I got to Iwo until 1986 when God led me to her. The Spirit of God gave me conviction that she will be my helpmeet and it became a reality on the 20th January, 1996 when we got wedded.

What attributes did you see in her that attracted her to you?

Godly character. Very cool headed and easy-going. In all, the fruit of the spirit and zeal for God’s work in her made me to fall in love with her coupled with the leading of God.

What can you say is the secret of this marriage for 25 years without separation?

God is our secret o. We resolved from the outset to put our trust in God. (Proverb. 3:5-6). We determined to trust ourselves. We strive to help each other overcome our weaknesses through Agape love. We pray together, we grow together. We also tolerate each-other. In all, Grace and Mercy have been of help.

Are there times you have some ups and downs in the marriage?

Yes o. There have been many challenges and storms but God has been our help. He stills the storms and turns tests to testimonies. Praise God!

How were you able to train and build up your Children in the way of the Lord without any of the being wayward?

Abiola Jesulowo, Wife and Children

It has been by the grace of God.The Bible says, it is not by might nor it is by power but by God’s grace. (Zecharaiah. 4:6). It is not of him that willeth or runneth but of God that shows mercy (romans.9:16) . We teach them the way of God. We practice what we preach (in their presence ) and we involve them in ministry work from the outset (Gen.18:18.19). It is not easy, but God is helping us.

You and your wife seems to be running the same vision, why is this so?

Yes. It is Favour from God. We were both in the music units during our courtship While I was in the drama unit, She joined me in the drama ministry after wedding and it has been awesome.

As a Drama Minister and film Evangelist, how do you cope leaving home for days atimes to location or outreach without taking your wife along?

I have been coping by the grace of God everything has to do with integrity and discipline. Integrity is your actual picture/ attitude when others are not with you. The Bible says, walk in the spirit and you will not satisfy the lust of the flesh (Galatians.5:16).

What’s your advise for young couples, especially those who are in ministry?

They should love God, Love their spouses, love the children, and love God’s work. They should not put ministry ahead of their Home. The order is God, your spouse, your children and your ministry. Home comes next after God not ministry. The Bible says, ‘Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”(Philippians. 4:8).
