If you want to remain at the top don’t pay attention to people’s ovation- Ben Ope Johnson

By Oluwafemi Dosu

Excellent cinematographer and Filmmaker, Ben Ope Johnson has counselled that anyone who want to get to the top and remain at the top must not pay attention to people’s ovation.

The Filmmaker made this known early today in a post on Facebook he titled The Top, The Fight to encourage his friends and younger ones, Gospel Film News can confirm.

He noted that It is absolutely true and it has been proven over time that it is a bit easier to get to the top than to remain there, saying many great Musicians, Athletes, Filmmakers, Fashion designer, Academicians, Politicians, Actors etc are still alive but they are stories already; their slots have been taken over by other fighters.

Daddy Beejay as fondly called laments that the mistake some made at the moment of their first breakthrough is that they rested as soon as they hit the top, they didn’t know that the battle of sustainability started immediately.

According to him, anyone can make such terrible mistake because as soon as you reach the top, there will be a loud ovation and jubilation galore which will make you become a celebrity instantly.

“In rapid succession, many people want to associate with you so that they can at least share from your glory. At that moment, different advices will start dropping on your table. Unfortunately, majority will favour your advisers. To ba lowo lowo aye a ba e na- Sir Shina Peters,” he said.

He warned that if you want to remain at the top, if you don’t want to be “there used to be”, while the ovation is loud, you must consistently pay attention to this voice at the back of your mind: ‘What’s next? What’s better? What’s bigger than this?’

Ben Ope Johnson thereby stated that the counsel he gave can be applied to every facet of life.
