The famous gospel film actor, director and Ogun State House of Assembly aspirant, Evangelist Kolade Segun-Okeowo will be confered with The South West Outstanding Leadership Award this week.
This was made known in a statement issued by Kolade Segun-Okeowo, KSO yesterday in Ogun State.
KSO in the statement disclosed that he was nominated for the award unknown to him.
“I am pleased to announce that I have the honour of being nominated to receive The South West Nigerian Excellence Award on Friday Sept 14 at The Conference Center of OBAFEMI Awolowo University by 2:30pm,” he said.
The political aspirant noted that he don’t really fancy Nigerian awards due to his mindset about it.
“I don’t really fancy Nigerian Awards because I have the notion that they are mostly solicited and paid for,” Kolade reitrated.
He further stressed that he was however taken aback by this one that had no input from anyone that he know but went through an unbiased selective process based on votes of judges that he have no knowledge of, neither was it financially induced.
Gospel Film News gathered that KSO has decided to accept the award.
In a related development, Gospel Film News gathered that criteria used for his selection was stated in a letter sent to KSO by the organizer.
The letter which was signed by the screening committee chairman, Pastor Honey Olawale stated that ‘Your impact on your immediate community’, ‘Track Record’, ‘Integrity (thorough background checks conducted)’, and ‘External Testimonies’ are the criterias considered for the award.

All glory be to God our father who is not a respecter of persons for chosen our dear brother KSO for the leadership award.
God has blessed his with good leadership traits that enables him to lead and be in the midst of large number of people and still conduct himself well.
