The All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers, ANCEDRAM has called on her members to pray for Nigeria at this crucial time saying prayer is not an option but paramount at this time.

This was contained in a statement issued by the association signed by its National Director of Publicity, Finest Uwaoma and send to Gospel Film News desk yesterday.

The statement reads in part:

“Following the recent development in the country as a result of the endsars protest, the president of ANCEDRAM, Evang. Kayode Ojinnaka and the BONE wish to reaffirm the belief and faith we have in God that He will protect and preserve His people even in this trying time.

“It has become obvious that our dear nation is passing through a phase which will definitely give birth to a better Nigeria but while this is on going, we should not be found wanting. Like Daniel, we should pray for our dear Nation; like Jeremiah, we should enact God’s mind through drama/film productions, However and most especially we should wait upon the Lord like Habakkuk for His Word not words of sentiments, nor words borne out of human environmental & atmospheric pressure.

” We encourage all our members to stay safe and be responsible especially within this period of wanton killings and destruction of properties.

“It is also pertinent to remind our members that prayer is not an option but paramount. Irrespective of the different opinions we might hold as humans concerning the protests. We strongly believe that our weapons of warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

“In the same vein, the Bible enjoins us to respect constituted authorities. For states already under curfew, please do not be defaulters of the civil law.

“Once again, we believe strongly that God can never be taken unawares in any event of life including the ongoing event in the country.

“Finally, our prayers are with you for God’s protection through out this period of turmoil. He saw us through the Covid-19 era, we believe He will see us through this.”
