Drama Ministers Fasting and Prayer Day 16: Your Vision Determines Everything
THURSDAY, JANUARY 17, 2019,
“YOUR VISIONS DETERMINE EVERYTHING”
GENESIS 37:5-10
5 Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more.
6 So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed:
7 There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.”
8 And his brothers said to him, “Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.
9 Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, “Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.”
10 So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?”
The moment Joseph had the dreams and his father confirmed the meanings of those dreams, he entered into the vehicle that would carry him to his future destination. His father had asked a confirmation question: “Shall you indeed reign over us or shall you indeed have dominion over us?” And when he dreamt the second dream and his father confirmed it by saying: “Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?”; right from that moment, forces were set on motion by God to fulfill the dreams.
It was the dream that made his brothers hated him the more. The brothers had no choice but to hate him, so that they could proceed in fulfilling the dream. The hatred made them sold him as slave. The dream of rulership would not permit them to kill him, they had to kill a goat instead. If they needed to kill something, a goat had to stand in his place to die, but not him. The fulfilment of the dream had been set on motion.
THAT IS WHY YOU CAN NOT DIE NOW IF YOU CARRY THE VISIONS OF GOD, AND YOU JUMP INTO THE RIVER AND ALLOW IT TO CARRY YOU ALONG. YOU WILL NOT DIE BEFORE THE VISIONS AND DREAMS GOD GAVE YOU ARE FULFILLED.
It was the Dream that made the Merchants came along that way, who were on their way to Egypt. The Ishmalites Merchants were not travelling to Syria, but Egypt, where the dream had to be fulfilled. SO THE VISIONS OF ASSIGNMENT DETERMINES WHO COME ALONG YOUR PATH ALSO. MAY THE VISIONS YOU CARRY FOR GOD, BRING THE RIGHT PEOPLE ALONG YOUR WAY.
The Merchants bought him and brought him to Egypt, the land where the dream was to happen. CAN YOU SEE THE HAND OF THE LORD IN THE HATRED AGAINST JOSEPH? CAN YOU SEE GOD IN HIS BROTHER SELLING HIM FOR MONEY? To his brothers, they were getting rid of him, but indirectly, the Lord was using them to send him in the right direction.
HOW COME IT WAS PORTIPHAR THAT BOUGHT HIM AND NOT ANOTHER PERSON IN THE SLAVE MARKET? PORTIPHAR WAS THE CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER OF PHARAOH.
It was the Dream and Visions he carried that made Portiphar’s wife lied against him. Or how would he have got into the Prison to have contact with the King’s butler who mentioned him to Pharoah later?
SO, HE HAD TO BE IN PORTIPHAR’S HOUSE.
HE HAD TO BE HANDSOME AND ATTRACTIVE FOR PORTIPHAR’S WIFE TO PURSUE HIM.
HE MUST RESIST THE ADVANCES OF THE LUSTFUL WOMAN, OR ELSE, HE WOULD NOT PROCEED TO THE FINAL DESTINATION OF THE DREAM.
That is how many people had failed. That is where many people had missed the plans of God. They had compromised instead of resisting the traps of the devil at the junction of critical decisions.
THE DREAMS AND VISIONS OF JOSEPH DETERMINED A LOT OF THINGS AND CONTROLED ALL THE PEOPLE AROUND JOSEPH.
Did you notice that it was after Joseph had landed in the Prison house, then the Butler and the Baker of the king had to offend the king so that they could be arrested and locked up in the Prison where Joseph was serving? That means, the arrival of Joseph in the prison determined that motions and actions in the palace at that particular time. THE VISIONS AND DREAMS OF JOSEPH CONTROLLED WHAT HAPPENED IN THE PALACE OF PHAROAH.
The Butler and the Baker had to dream inside the prison so that Joseph could interpret their dreams for them, ahead of the night dreams that Pharaoh would still have.
NOW, IN ORDER FOR JOSPEH TO GET INTO THE PALACE AND STAND BEFORE PHAROAH, THE KING HAD TO HAVE A NIGHT DREAM.
AND ALL THE WISEMEN OF EGYPT MUST NOT HAVE AN INTERPRETATIONS TO THE DREAMS OF THE KING. THEY WERE ALL DEACTIVATED AT THAT TIME, BECAUSE JOSEPH MUST COME INTO THE PALACE. PRIOR TO THAT TIME, WE NEVER READ THAT THE WISEMEN OF EGYPT EVER FAILED TO INTERPRET ANY DREAMS OF THE KING. BUT THAT ONE WAS TO BRING JOSEPH TO THE PRESENCE OF THE KING, SO, THEIR WISDOM WAS DEACTIVATED AND CONFUSIONS WAS SET IN THEIR MINDS. NONE OF THEM HAD CLUE TO THE DREAMS OF THE KING.
Finally, was it not necessary for seven years of plenty and famine to strike Egypt? THERE MUST BE FAMINE IN THE WHOLE LAND OF CANAAN AND COUNTRIES AROUND EGYPT, FOR THE SONS OF JACOB TO GO AND LOOK FOR FOOD IN EGYPT, SO THAT THEY COULD GET IN TOUCH WITH JOSEPH AND BOW THEIR FACE TO THE GROUND….IN FULFILMENT OF THE DREAM.
Did you see how the visions and dreams of Joseph determined many things and control many people and brought down a whole nation.
The Visions you carry is powerful. It determines a lot of things in and around your life. It controls where you would school, the person you would marry, the city you would live, people who would come around you, and the fight you must fight against sin and your refusal to compromise.
AND IF YOU THROW YOUR VISIONS AWAY, YOU THROW AWAY YOUR DIRECTIONS, AND FUTURE GLORY. YOU DESTABILZE THE LIFE OF A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WOULD GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU FOR WHAT YOU CARRY.
The CALL OF GOD and Visions of Assignment you carry for God, would determine a lot of things in your life. THE SOLUTIONS TO FULFILLING DESTINY AND FULFILLING GOD’S PURPOSE, IS TO OBEY AND FOLLOW JESUS AS HE LEADS ALONG THE WAY.
Lord Jesus , please help me, to follow You till I get to the final destination of your calling for my life.
I will not disappoint my Generation.
I will be a blessing to the Multitude.
