Captain-General Emmanuel Nissi is a man of war by Mike Bamiloye

Joshua 11:19-20 KJV
[19] There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle.
[20] For it was of the Lord to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the Lord commanded Moses.

So many principles I learnt as Israel Crossed Over the Jordan River into Canaan Land. I learnt that to survive in the Land of Canaan and Possess all that the Lord had promised you, you would have to learn to Listen to the Captain of the Host of Heaven who is leading the invasion. Of the Canaan Land. I have learnt that Principles change and strategies are not static in the Wars of the Canaan land, so you have to rely on the leading and directions of the Lord Jesus, the Captain of the Hosts of Heaven who is leading the battle of the Land.

There was not a city that made peace with Israel as they moved further into the land of Canaan, they were always coming to make war. I am amazed at their stubbornness and foolhardiness. I am stunned at the spirit that was pushing them to their destructions. Even when they were seeing massive dead bodies of fallen enemy soldiers, they would still approached Israelites army in blind suicidal effort to fight the army they knew they could never win. I wonder what was pushing them to come against the army of Israel. Then, I knew why shortly later.

I knew later that it was the Captain-General Himself that was inciting them to come against Israel to fight them. It was Him who was pushing them  to the battle ground. It was Him who was hardening their heart to come against Israel in battle; so the more they came, the more they fell until the city was taken and Israel moved into another city and fought with that one also.

It was then I remembered that this same principle was followed when MOSES was sent to Pharaoh to let His people go, I remember that the Lord God said He would harden Pharaoh’s heart and make him refuse to allow the children of Israel to walk out of Egypt. Pharaoh would have released Israel to go out of Egypt after seen the first and the second plague, but his heart was hardened by God Himself.

Exodus 4:21 KJV
[21] And the Lord said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

So, when all those armies of the cities were gathering themselves together against Israel, it was God that was hardened their heart. When the whole nations of Canaan Land assembled their military powers against Israel, it was the Captain-General that was pushing them to attack them, and it was the Captain-General Himself that was empowering Israel to win each of the Battles.
What manner of Man is Jesus?…..Halleluyah!
What manner of Man is Jesus?…..Halleluyah!

And why was He doing this? Why was He inciting Wars against His own people?
“……that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the Lord commanded Moses.”

And it was said about the Pharaoh’s resistance against the children of Israel, that it was God who hardened his heart to refuse to release Israel despite all the plagues. His waters were turned to blood; his sands produced lice; frogs came up out of the land into his bedrooms; yet his heart was hardened to refuse to let Israel go because his heart was hardened by God against the people of Israel. Even when he finally allowed the people to leave, the Lord led the people toward the way of the Red Sea and made them camp by the sea. Then, He went back to stir up the heart of Pharaoh again to pursue them to the bank of he Red Sea. The stubbornness and the foolhardiness was orchestrated by God Himself:

Exodus 14:3-4 KJV
[3] For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.
[4] And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord . And they did so.

WHY WAS THE LORD DOING THIS?
WHY WAS OUR CAPTAIN INCITING WARS AGAINST US AND MAKING OUR ENEMIES TO COME AGAINST US EN-MASS?
WHY DID OUR GOD, THE CAPTAIN-GENERAL OF THE BATTLES OF CANAAN-LAND DELIGHT IN WARS AND BATTLES?

Exodus 15:3 KJV
The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

ONE OF THE NAMES OF MY CAPTAIN-GENERAL IS: “JEHOVAH-NISSI”
(Exodus 17:15)

Watch this Scenario: He led the Israel out of Egypt, and brought them to camp by the Red Sea. Next, He went back to Pharaoh’s Palace and challenged him: ‘Are you not a fool to have allowed Israel to go in peace. All your slaves are gone in one day. Arise and pursue them and brig them back”

Next, Pharaoh gathered all his finest chariots and pursued Israel.
Next, God told MOSES to stretch forth his rod and divide the ea into two for the Israel to pass through on dry land. MOSES did so. The whole house of Israel walked on dry ground all through the night.
Next, the Angel of the Lord stood between the camp of Israel and the camp of Egypt all through the night; so that, His front front was pillar of fire to Israel, so that they could have light and warmth as they passed through the Sea all through the night; but the back of the Angel was Darkness to the Egyptian, so they remained in their camp till Israel had gone far in their journey through the sea.

Next, the Angel removed from the way and gave Egypt light and they could see that Israel had gone far into the middle of the sea. So, they pursued them with their fast chariots into the sea.
Next, we read that, the dusty highway in the middle of the sea began to become swampy the moment Israel had passed, so the chariot wheels of their chariots began to remove in the Middle of the Sea, Their tyres punctured in the middle of the Red Sea. All their convoy and bullet proof cars had flat tyres. AH!!! JEHOVAH-NISSI!!!
It was a delay tactics employed till Israel had all crossed over to the other side.

Next, the Lord ordered Moses to turn back and stretch out his Rod again. He turned back and saw them, trying to replaced the flat tires with extra tires! Oh! It was too late!.
Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. The Water welled up in fury; the sea bed sank deeper into its original depth. The caged sharks and whales were released. The chariots and the horses sank like leads into the bottom of the sea.
JEHOVAH-NISSI!!!!
HE INCITED THE WAR.
HE EMPOWERED HIS PEOPLE
HE FOUGHT FOR THEM
HE GAVE THEM VICTORY.

So, when next you wondered why some battles have proved stubborn, …it is so that there might be absolute victory with multiple spoils of war.
When next you wondered why you are constantly surrounded by war,…it is so that you might be very strong in battle.
This is what David said, who walked with our Captain-General through out his life-time:

Psalm 18:34 KJV
“He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.”
Psalm 144:1 KJV
“Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:”

This is the Essence of the Spiritual Warfare we fight all the time. this is the Essence of the Prayers and Fasting. There have been some times in Mount Zion, that we have fasted almost three-quarter of the year. some times we had began the year with 100 days fasting and Prayers in additions to all others scattered days of fastings and prayers through out the year. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON US.

How can you be walking with the Captain-General of the Hosts of Heaven without walking in Spiritual-Warfare? The Man is a Man of War. If you don’t want to fight a war, He will raise one for you, so that you could have occasions to call upon Him for Help.
A CHILD OF A WARRIOR…IS A WARRIOR….!

THEY GOT NO CITIES WITHOUT A WAR…BUT IT WAS GOD WHO FOUGHT FOR THEM.
