Barrister Segun Olonade Remembers Late Wife on Wedding Anniversary

A gospel Film maker and lawyer, Barrister Segun Olonade is remembering his wife on their 26th wedding anniversary. Thursday 9th December was their wedding anniversary. Barrister Olonade got married 1995.
Olonade in his statement entitled ‘REMEMBERING 9TH DECEMBER 1995’ noted that he walked to the presence of the Lord to say “I do” and indeed he did.
The statement sent to Gospel Film News yesterday reads in part:
“Grace Arike Oluwatoyin Olonade my little sister, little angel,God’s precious gift. What do I say in a world of beauties she left all around me. Memories that never cloy or faint, bright in my grateful heart. On two occasions she nearly died while giving birth to two of our children. Each time the Lord of life spared me sorrow untold and left me my gift
“What would I have done if He had chosen to call her then? I would have lost the many beautiful stories of an awesome life I can now tell with joy. I would have been left all alone to either be child less and wife less in the very prime of my life Or saddled with two or three suckling infants in an ocean of needs, but no!!! He didn’t do that. He didn’t leave me in consolable. He kept her for me. As a gift on lease from Him.
“In that keeping, God divinely enabled precious fruits of life to breakforth that otherwise would have been lost in time and eternity from this gift of God. The world will little know not fully appreciate the value of the gem except its owner, neither is it possible to say in a poetic piece the countless blessings of this precious seed in almost three decades of marriage.
“A life completely dedicated to home and family….with its burdens and excitements. A seed that has grown to be come an oak giving shelter,succor,strength to many. A quiet, faithful mother hen giving solid support to my call to serve God and humanity. A tree of life giving shade and shelter to all that came with in her reach. A ship of state standing with me through all the storm sand billows of life. An architect to fortune birth in gland and buildings to house our dreams. A stallion in strength forcing to the door enemy forces around God’s rich deposits in my life.
“A cool, level headed administrator calming my sanguine lyerratic and temperamental nature. A Mother-in-Isreal who held my late mother and young relations in close embrace even when others rejected them. An organized, systematic giant, the unseen foundation behind the visible achievements around me. A woman of great inner strength who keeps going like a bulldozer in the teeth of the sever stop position.
“A mother like no other to each and everyone of her children…unwavering, devoted, sacrificial, depend able all in all of their lives’ many battles to whom will you compare her. Every other mortal pales in to in significance. Sound known to the world yet so deeply known of her own. Thank you forgiving us your all and giving your all to us. Six of one and half a dozen of the other.
“You are our world and we are, yours’ Forever in love. Remembering you and feeling your beign, warm presence each and everyday,” he said.
