 Isaiah 5:4.

What more could have been done to
My vineyard that I have not done in it?
Why then, when I expected it to bring
forth good grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes?

Too Bad. The fowl has refused to lay eggs. It is like the frustration and disappointment of a man who dug a well thirty to forty feet into the ground without smelling a trace of water.

Now let’s come back home and run a check upon our life. Upon all what The Lord has done for us, upon all His investment in our life, have we yielded some returns back to Him? You were invested with great grace. what returns have you given back to God? Some people’s entire campus years was a waste. Apart from attending the campus fellowship and taking part in few programs, he spent the rest time of the years doing whatever he loves to do, while others were investing their lives and resources heavily into series of programs and evangelistic projects on the campus.

Some people were granted their admission into the higher institutions on contract from God: they had promised God they would serve Him and be His wonderful instrument on campus, if The Lord could give them that admission. They had fasted and prayed and entered into a vow before The Lord to be His shining light on the campus of the institution, if The Lord would grant them the admission.

So, The Lord had granted them the admission as required, by miracles. And that was all. They got the admission into the university, Polytechnic, College of Education or other institutions of higher learning. They got there and forgot about the vows and promises. They failed to realize that the admission was an investment from God and He was expecting some Returns on this Investment.

A lot of people are fond of embarking on series of prayers and fasting, to seek God’s face and beg Him for meaningful jobs. They wept before the Lord and backed up their prayers with vows and promises to be us The Lord could give them the desired appointment. Amidst many candidates, The Lord had singled them out and lifted them high above others. However, they would get the jobs, become comfortable and forget their past tears and agonies of heart before The Lord. The promises they made to God to serve Him and show His light in the company would be forgotten and taken over by series of other assignment and responsibilities. Investment gone down the drains.

Now, hear this verdict from a Disappointed Business Man.
Isaiah 5:5-6
5. And now, please let Me tell you what I will do to My vineyard:
I will take away its hedge, and it shall be burned;
And break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down.
6. I will lay it waste;It shall not be pruned or dug,
But there shall come up briers and thorns.
I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it.”.

Those are curses instead of blessing. And He said, he would command clouds not to rain on the ground. That is closed heavens, where every source of blessings are shut down. Demotions, disappointment, sadness, multiple problems come calling. This is when crisis, attacks, afflictions begin to walk into the house, when the heavens are closed and hedges and walls are broken down all around. Enemies are able to walk in freely, because the God’s law of investment is broken: The law says: EVERY INVESTMENT MUST YIELD RETURNS.

He expected to receive INTEREST on every investment He deposited in your life. Your talents must produce fruits for the Kingdom of God. Your gifts must be used to serve him with full returns. Every grace you received from Him is His Investment upon your life that MUST MAKE A RETURN or else the implication is not palatable at all. Your being alive is His Investment, your employment, your university admission, the scholarship you received, the visa you got, the house you have just built, your children you got from Him, and …..everything….everything…..MUST YIELD BACK TO HIM A BOUNTIFUL RETURN.

Luke 13:8-9
But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also,
until I dig around it and fertilize it. And if it bears fruit, well. But if not,
after that you can cut it down.’”

As The Lord begins to re-fertilize you again, I see you bearing bountiful fruits from now on.
I don’t see you being cut down. No. You have to regain all fruit-bearing chances you have lost. You have to rise up and yield full return on this Heavenly Investment. That good voice you have is Heavenly Investment. The writing ability you have is an Investment, don’t waste it fighting the government or running a social crusade. Make a returns on this Investment. You shall not be cut down.

John 15:2″
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;
and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”

MAY YOU NOT BE TAKEN AWAY….
YOU SHALL BEAR MORE FRUITS.
