Men and women were threatened with murder by other people, and many of them voiced their displeasure with the Independent National Electoral Commission’s handling of the election (INEC). Several clerics also stated their natural disdain of the mannerism at which some state individuals were conjured to maltreat fellow citizens for the political parties they identify with. A number of people expressed their displeasure via their social media handles.

The Mount Zion film “30 Pieces,” which was just released, is an example of true art that portrays society from the perspective of a low-wage, thug-living individuals. It makes reference to people who attend church yet are nonetheless impacted by the world’s systems. It illustrates what the church should do to stop future electoral fraud and bad behavior on the part of individuals.

The names of infamous people in various states who have been shunned by the government and the church reveal the decadence of the society. If the church doesn’t take adequate action, especially in light of the government’s lax treatment of citizens who have turned into street thugs, such men could lead to the greatest decadence society has ever seen.

The church, which consists of a group of people who serve as an extension of Christ on earth rather than a physical structure, is well recognized for its regular attendance as well as the many overseers to whom members are subject. With gladness, the church has expanded with new doctrines that its followers now adhere to.

30 Pieces which symbolizes the amount paid for betrayal to Judas on the arrest of Jesus Christ is depicted in this movie in ways many might not have comprehended. Officer Collins who is Officer Emma’ Judas (one of the twelve) was also a Christian; one who had lost his way and was after the pleasures of the world. He cheats on his wife, become friends with a kingpin “Mr Alade” which leads to his son’ death; all because he was overwhelmed by greed. The other eleven who represent faithful disciples are seen through the thugs that have come to know Christ through Officer Emma’ preaching. Probably it was a coincidence but the men who acted this part were actually eleven

The film’s thugs, whom we see sharing their experiences and stories, represent the street society that the government and, primarily, the church have been ignoring. We regularly observe people who carry flyers and members of the welcome crew entering the chapel dressed elegantly. We hear about evangelistic teams and how the church ought to be filled, but we overlook the few who are spiritually destitute that we come across during the week. Many people curse out thugs when they see them for the potential lives they could have lived.

The church by doctrine has increased in creating laws for those who seek to come, rather than open the doors for everyone to come. Many Christians have disregarded one on one street evangelism for the fear of their lives and have also lost a number of members to the body of Christ. Officer Emma who is a representation of Jesus Christ in this movie shows no surrender for any soul to ever be lost. He seeks to rescue the thug and Officer Collins- no matter their shortcomings.

We wonder what impact the church may have if it engaged in more of the kind of evangelism shown in 30 Pieces, going above and beyond to reach and save everyone from the lost coworker to the thug on the street. It is amazing what one Christian can accomplish when they choose to focus on bringing their neighbors back to Christ rather than pointing out their flaws.

The bible predicts that in addition to conflicts and rumors of war, there will also be a fall in the love of Christ, men will become lovers of themselves, and many people will choose the ways that they believe to be best for them. In addition to greed, there would also be impatience as no one can predict the precise day and hour of Christ’ return. But, like in Noah’s day, many people would be busy looking for goods to satisfy their needs rather than putting up the effort to prepare for the Lord’s return.

With Abejoye; Mount Zion Ministries taught Phone evangelism, now with 30 Pieces they are teaching street evangelism and most importantly they are encouraging acceptance. One the church should be involved in if it wants to reach out to more than those who come seeking for Christ. No one would have guessed Officer Emma’ friends were thugs, many would shy at being a Christian and having a thug friend; but how would the thug person know the Christ in you, if they don’t know you?

If you haven’t seen the movie; what are you waiting for? Let it preach to you too.
