Death they say is inevitable, many have come and gone. In this article Gospel Film News will be taking you through the archive showing biography/history of three notable drama ministers who died and or were buried same week.

A lot of things cause people’s death ranging from sickness, accident, domestic violence, murder or suicide. Irrespective of the cause of death, what is most important is salvation of soul and how an individual has lived his/her life before death. Mike Bamiloye in one of his messages said “it is not how far but how well.”

Aderemi Olabode Oloninisi:

He was born in Ilorin on 7th January, 1975 to the family of Late Chief and Chief (Mrs) Rufus Olu Oloninisi from Oga, Kogi State.

The third in the family of three boys, young Aderemi attended the prestigious Trinity Nursery & Primary School and St. Barnabas Primary School, Sabo-oke, Ilorin for his primary education. Afterwards, Remi got admitted into the famous Government Secondary School, Ilorin in 1987 where he successfully graduated in 1993 Aderemi met with Christ in 1994 and was called into the ministry, precisely on 23rd October, 1994.

Aderemi had strong passion for film acting and directing. This, he demonstrated in directing about thirty (30) Christian films He also featured in about 100 Christian films.

Deborah Animashaun:

Deborah Funmilayo Ozuajeme Animasawun was born to the family of Late Pa. Daniel and Mrs Comfort Edgal of Eme-Ora Town in Owan West LGA, Edo State.
The first child of five children, Deborah grew up inside the University of Ibadan Community. She attended Abadina Primary School and St. Bernadines College Oyo and lager she completed her Secondary Education at Alimadiya Grammar School, Eleyele, Ibadan. After which she proceeded to Technical College Ile-Ife for training in Secretariat Studies and later to the Polytechnic Ibadan between 89/91. While still in Secondary School, she developed interest in Drama and then enlisted in a Drama Group in the then NTV under the tutelage of veteran Dramatist; Pastor Olatunbosun Odunsi. After a worthwhile sojourn in the teaching profession, she eventually ventured into early life passion which is Drama and Film making.

In the early 90s, she attended Mount Zion Drama School and has since been featuring in various Christian movies some of which are Perilous Times, Esin Ajoji, Agba Woli, Iji Aye to mention but few.

A report by Gospel Film News says she began her own Drama Ministry known as Chosen Generation and had the following titles ti her credit: Aja Aye (Loose Women), Asale, Olamide, Heartbeat, Hidden Treasure etc even on her deathbed, she produced Alone with God which was premiered at wake keep on Thursday 25th of Oct. ’18.

Evang. D.F. Animasawun lived her life to the glory of God and service of humanity as she contributed immensely to the success of WorldHope Group of Schools, Badeku, where she assiduously worked to ensure a bright future for the children of people of low estate, her input in the WorldHope Health Centre Badeku can not be over emphasized.
She went out of her way to put many on the way to greatness and excellence.
After a protracted illness, she peacefully passed on to the bosom of her redeemer on the 3rd of October 2018 and committed to mother earth on Friday 26th of October, 2018.

Folasade Aina

Folasade Aina

Folasade was born on the 9th of August 1967 at Ijebu Ode to Chief Adekoya Olunuga. Her mother, Chief (Mrs) Ebunola Olunuga, fondly named her Modupe because of her graceful birth.

She started her formal education at St David’s School, Kudeti, Ibadan, in 1973. She attended Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu Ode from 1979 to 1985.

Sade studied Mass Communications at the Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic). She obtained her postgraduate diploma from the Lagos State University. She was an all-round student who excelled in both academic and social activities.

She had her National Youth Service at the N.N.P.C. in Lagos from 1996 to 1997. She thereafter had a stint in business at the Flour Mills of Nigeria PLC, Apapa.

Mrs Folasade Aina joined the services of the Lagos State Judiciary in 2009 and was there until her demise.

Sister Sade, as called by her friends, first met the love of her life while at Adeola Odutola College, Ijebu Ode. However, her relationship with Bro. Olugbenga Aina, a man she fondly referred to as “a man of peace”, started when they met again at the Christian Fellowship of the Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta. The two lovers got married on the 1st of June, 1996, at St. David’s Church, Kudeti, Ibadan. The union is blessed with three sons and a daughter.

Pastor & Mrs Aina were members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God until the husband received the Lord’s Call and became the set man over The Reconciliation and Restoration Chapel with the wife beside him.

Pastor (Mrs) Aina found her passion in the drama ministry. She attended the Mount Zion Institute of Christian Drama in 2005. She has performed in several evangelical movies and stage dramas.

Sade was an active member of the All Nigeria Conference of Evangelical Drama Ministers (ANCEDRAM) and one of the elders of the Lagos State Chapter. She started “AKİYÈSÍ”, a transformational piece on Facebook that has blessed many, far and wide. Testimonies abound on repairs to broken lives and homes. The series has led many to Christ.

Folasade was a role model to many who crossed her path. She was simple and forthright. She loved God! She transited to glory on Wednesday, 19th October 2022.
