“The landing field has not been cleared. We have to remain airborne for a few minutes until we receive clearance to land. We are sorry for the delay.” That was the announcement from the cockpit. The velvety voice of the flight captain filled the cabin. There had been a little delay before we took off, and now another delay before landing. I didn’t like the development, but I could not do anything about it.
‘Few minutes’ eventually turned into many minutes. I thought of my wife, whom I knew must have been expecting to hear me say, “thank God, we just landed”. This is my usual line whenever I arrive my destination at the end of a journey. I also thought of the brother who had been waiting to pick me up at the destination airport.
I thought within me, ‘but this pilot knows the way to the airport. Must he wait for clearance to land?’ Of course, he had to because there are specific times alloted to different aircrafts to take off and to land in airports otherwise, there will be unnecessary commotion and avoidable accidents.
After doing an unsolicited merry-go-round in the airspace for about 30 minutes, the voice of the captain broke into my thought: “Attention please. We have just been cleared. Please prepare for landing…” The aircraft eventually had a flawless landing. Although it did not land at the EXPECTED TIME, it landed at the APPROPRIATE TIME.
In life, there are miracles we expect to have landed but are still hanging in the realm of the spiritual airspace. Why? It may not necessarily be due to a demonic attack. In most cases, it is because, “to every thing, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Eccl. 3:1).
The miracle cannot land without clearance from heaven. Remember, “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time…” (Eccl. 3:11). Beloved, hold on. Very soon, you will hear the announcement from the host of heaven: “Attention please. We have just been cleared. Please prepare for landing…” Thereafter, your miracle will land safely in your hands. Amen.
